Thornbury Surfacing is an established business with over 40 years of experience in the construction and surfacing of major infrastructures, including roads, car parks, sports pitches, playgrounds, footpaths, and domestic driveways. Formed in 1969 as a haulage business, it progressed to aggregates and tarmac before Neil Blackmore developed the tarmacking side in 1985, eventually purchasing the business in 1990 and incorporating it in 2000. Now moving into its third generation as a family-run business, Thornbury Surfacing prides itself on strong morals of fairness, friendliness, and professionalism.

The company provides a wide range of surfacing solutions and finishes, including coloured tarmac, resin bound macadam, and block paving, catering to clients from large multi-national corporations and government bodies to smaller local builders and domestic customers. They procure over 80,000 tons of bituminous material annually and have invested over £800,000 in state-of-the-art plant and equipment in the last two years to ensure they can meet strict deadlines. Health and safety are paramount, with key team members fully trained and all teams holding the latest Streetworks accreditation, alongside CSCS, CPCS, SSSTS, and SMTS qualifications.
