Removals and corrections

How to get something changed or taken down.

Every profile here was compiled from public records without asking the company first. That puts the burden on us to make removal easy, so this page states what we will do rather than leaving it to a form.

What you can ask for

  • A correction, where something is wrong or out of date.
  • Removal of a contact detail, a logo or a photograph, keeping the rest of the profile.
  • Removal of the whole profile, including the company name.
  • Removal of personal data about you specifically, whether or not you own the company.

What we will do

We act on removal requests without requiring a reason. We do not ask you to prove ownership for a removal, only for a claim, because the cost of removing a page wrongly is much lower than the cost of refusing one wrongly.

We aim to respond within five working days and to apply removals at the next site build. Where something must come down immediately, say so in the form and we will take the page offline first and sort the detail afterwards.

What we cannot change

Registry facts come from Companies House and are corrected there, not here: a wrong registered address or a wrong company status has to be fixed at source, after which it flows through to this site. We can remove our page in the meantime.

Logos and photographs are displayed from each company's own website rather than copied to our servers. Removing them here does not affect the original.

How to ask

Use the removal and correction form. It reaches the team that maintains the directory. If the company is yours and you would rather take it over than remove it, claim the profile instead.
