Richmond N Floor Clinical Skills Ward

Sycamore Square Group provided Lead Designer, Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying, and CDM Principal Designer services for refurbishment and remodelling works to the top floor of the Richmond Building. The project involved demolishing rooms to create a large training ward for the Pharmacy department and other medical faculties, including the design and coordination of cladding panel replacement to accommodate new mechanical ventilation louvre terminations. The scope included "dummy" clinical bedhead services to simulate real-world scenarios.

Sycamore Square Group was integral in appraising the site/building and health and safety risks, implementing systems to minimize/manage these risks. Their services were extended to provide Party Wall Advice and a full-time Site and Building Management role, enabling a seamless appraisal and information transfer between the Design Team and the Building Manager. This role included setting up all site processes and procedures, site rules, management procedures, and acting as the day-to-day contact for the site to assist CEG with managing the site and overall risk.
