Poroban Build Ltd

Poroban was founded in 2018 by Armeet Panesar, an Architect, Carpenter and Self-Builder, with the aim to push the boundaries in sustainable design and construction. His focus on innovative low carbon materials combined with supporting locally made construction products have led to a diverse range of projects that have helped promote and steer our construction sector towards meeting climate change targets. Armeet's passion for sustainable community projects has led to winning major bids such as the Hastings Castle Visitor Centre and The LJ Greenlink - an urban design greening scheme in south London.

He has also successfully crowdfunded a campaign with The Friends of Streatham Hill Theatre to bring the Grade 2 listed theatre back into community use. Alongside practice, Armeet has initiated a research study in partnership with UCA Canterbury to analyse embodied carbon within the domestic residential sector. Poroban's mission and philosophy is to create buildings, products or environments that achieve Net Zero carbon emissions without having to resort to carbon offset schemes.

They invest into ongoing research on embodied carbon in materials and take a direct approach to promoting and specifying products and materials of a low carbon footprint. They encourage demountable construction and minimal use of wet trades to increase low carbon recyclability at a building's end of use.
