At No Such Thing Studios, we specialise in creating bespoke sets, displays, furniture, and installations tailored for film, events, retail, and interior design projects. Our comprehensive service covers everything from initial conception and design through to production and final installation. We pride ourselves on bringing visions to life with a unique blend of expertise in set design, contemporary art, graphic arts, and woodworking, ensuring authenticity and quality in every craft.

Our team, founded in 2016 by brothers Emmet and Rory Kierans, draws upon a diverse pool of talented assistants, freelance artists, and craftspeople. Emmet brings a background in contemporary art, carpentry, and construction, holding degrees in Painting and MFA, with extensive experience in woodworking and carpentry for both artistic and structural projects. Rory complements this with a degree in Product Design and an MA in Scenic Arts and Prop Making, specialising in designing and creating props from various materials and having experience in boat building and campervan conversions.

We offer compelling, dramatic, and unique retail window and in-store displays, alongside interior furniture and joinery crafted to exacting standards. Our process involves visualising and developing concepts using both traditional and digital drawing and modelling techniques. By leveraging a wider community of freelance artists, designers, prop makers, metal workers, tradesmen, and craftspeople, we can source specific expertise to realise projects of any scale and complexity.
