About from company website
Made From Scratch are experts in play design and build, crafting playable landscapes with principles of love and care. They believe access to quality, collaborative, site-specific design is a right for everyone, recognising play's transformative therapeutic powers for individuals and communities. Their approach is rooted in the anarchic spirit of urban adventure playgrounds, evolving materials and methods over years of practice.
Creative collaboration and community engagement are central, with workshops delivered to hundreds of children and young people across London, teaching playground carpentry and fostering design literacy. As an ethical social enterprise, they advocate for and train in play, supporting grassroots projects pro bono and tailoring advice to maximise access to play. Their skilled build team often includes play, youth, and forest school workers, bringing a holistic approach to creating unique landscapes.
