GH are award-winning interior specialists with three decades of experience delivering retail, leisure and residential projects for some of the world's most prestigious brands. We are passionate about our craft and committed to completing each and every project to an exceptionally high standard; single-minded in our mission not only to deliver on our promises, but also to exceed expectations. Our dedicated and experienced teams are led by Company Directors who are personally involved in every project.
Their presence on site means we can offer an unparalleled level of agility, quickly accommodating technical challenges and change, but never compromising on quality, programme or budget. We are founded on the principles of honesty, collaboration and mutual respect. We take great pride not only in building beautiful interiors, but also in building lasting relationships with our clients and partners.
We have been fortunate enough to carry out some very challenging projects, such as complicated structural alterations, retention of existing key structural elements, phased working within a live operating environment and complex service diversions. Our head office and joinery workshop is based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, and we have a London office located centrally in Covent Garden. Our average turnover is approximately £15m.
Brought together five Georgian properties, including two adjoining Grade II listed townhouses and three mews houses to the rear, to create a new 17,000 sqft family home over seven floors. The works included major structural additions to form new suspended concrete floors and roof structures within both the mews houses and the main buildings.
Undertook the complete refurbishment of two existing Salvatore Ferragamo stores to suit a new concept design. Set within a Grade II listed building, the Old Bond Street store was remodelled to incorporate a new opening at First floor level, allowing a polished stainless steel and stone stair to be inserted between the three retail floors. A similar stair was installed in the Sloane Street store, linking the existing Ground and new First floor retail areas. In both stores the integration of fitted bespoke joinery and panelling was carefully coordinated with the client's directly appointed millworker, to achieve the highest levels of finish and fine detailing. Both projects were phased to allow each store to continue trading throughout, with minimal disruption to customers.
Appointed to fit out their 25,000 sq ft flagship store, with retail space over four floors and BOH facilities over two additional levels. Responsible for the delivery of all elements of the project (with the exception of the millwork and audio/visual systems), including the design, development, fabrication and installation of an oval feature stair, supported by a structure cantilevered from the landings at each level. Worked closely with the client, design team and direct contractors throughout to deliver the project on time over a seven month programme, coordinating the fit out to begin before the shell and core contractor had completed 50% of the building.
Award winning project for worldwide restaurant group Imperial Treasure located within a Grade II listed bank in the heart of the St James's conservation area. The 140-cover, 8,500 sq ft restaurant features a main dining area, cocktail bar, sommelier station, private dining room at mezzanine level, and an extensive kitchen facility on the lower ground floor. Working closely with the French interior designer Liaigre and the UK executive architect Archer Humphryes, developed the design detail and produced shop drawings using in-house drawing/design facility. Provided options for materials selection.
Located in the heart of London's Mayfair district, Park Chinois evokes the atmosphere and glamour of 1930s Shanghai supper clubs and cabarets. Split over the ground and basement floors, the venue comprises two large restaurant salons and bars, as well as holding areas, private dining rooms and extensive kitchen facilities. Worked closely with the UK architects, Mark Pinney Associates, to realise designer Jacques Garcia's concept and meet the client's brief. Extensive experience was crucial to coordinating the sequencing of works for this complex project, from strip out, ground excavations and structural works, through to the installation of acoustic cladding across the entire venue, a new stair, a sophisticated M&E package, and a wide range of exquisite artisanal finishes.
Appointed for the fit-out of a new high-end restaurant within the iconic, Grade II listed setting of Somerset House. Located in the building's New Wing and split over three levels, Spring accommodates 132 covers within a spacious, warm and elegant dining area. Converting the existing space involved the installation of a large, bespoke skylight over the new salon dining area, as well as high-spec acoustic raft ceilings throughout. New arched openings and cornices were formed and installed to match the surrounding listed architecture and detailing.
Following a successful project for the client in London, invited to the hotel by the client to review finishes and work with existing MEP contractors & consultants. Working directly with the client and team to select various finishes to complete all manor house suites, entrance, reception, restaurant, bar & carpentry throughout including the exclusive long room with its own kitchen and book matched circular shower. Refurbished all rooms in the garden suites, cinema, and function room through to the successful launch of the award winning hotel.
Awarded this contract following a successful tender process with a long-standing client. Delivered the first installation of a brand new design concept for their luxury jewellery brand. All new M&E and security services are concealed within the architectural detail where satin stainless steel trims complement the satin nickel finishes on the millwork. The folded anodised portal and brand surround frames are balanced with a reeded wallpaper finish to the walls above the dado. The radiuses on the wall and light troughs were achieved with prefabricated fibrous plaster work. The site area is 8000sqft and the entire fit out was completed in 16 weeks.
Appointed to undertake the renovation of a Grade II listed building on Old Bond Street for Boghossian. This included the careful removal of all interior elements and the existing shopfront, followed by the fit out of the ground floor and basement. Also carried out a full dilapidation survey of the entire façade, four floors and roof. The main challenge on this project was the integration of a sophisticated M&E package, including high-end security systems, in line with Grade II listed building conditions. Also incorporated substantial (but discrete) security measures within the structure of the new replica timber shopfront. Manufactured and installed all of the store's bespoke joinery, showcases, fixtures, and fittings, finishing the works to an extremely high standard, as required by the architect and client's full team.
