Downing College Developments Ltd

Downing College, founded in 1800 by Sir George Downing, is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. Originally established to encourage the study of Law, Medicine, Moral and Natural Sciences, it now accepts students across all subjects taught at the University. The College prides itself on being a diverse, close-knit, and welcoming scholarly community, committed to providing a world-class education to students of all backgrounds.

Set amidst 20 acres of grounds in the heart of Cambridge, the College features beautiful neo-classical architecture, designed by William Wilkins and later expanded upon by architects like Sir Herbert Baker and Quinlan Terry. Development has been ongoing since the first buildings in 1807-1812, with significant additions including residential blocks, a chapel, a library, and a theatre, culminating in modern facilities like the Heong Gallery and new student accommodation.
