Established in 2005 and based in Lancaster, D2R Survey Ltd provides multidisciplinary expert surveying services across the North of England, including North Lancashire, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, and County Durham. While primarily serving these regions, the company has also undertaken projects in Poole, Westray (Orkney), and the Isle of Man. Leveraging precise surveying equipment and extensive experience, D2R Survey delivers user-friendly survey maps, drawings, and reports for projects ranging from domestic dwellings to large-scale developments, informing decision-making and design processes.

Under the personal responsibility of director and chief surveyor Wayne T. Bainbridge, the company offers a wide array of surveying expertise. This includes topographical and land surveying, bathymetric and river surveys, boundary dispute surveys, measured building surveys (floor plans, elevations, sections), 3D scanning and BIM, heritage surveying, drone mapping and inspection, structural monitoring, volumetric analysis, and site engineering and setting out.

The team is committed to continuously improving accuracy, consistency, and efficiency through evolving technology. D2R Survey prides itself on producing architectural drawings in-house, ensuring oversight and accountability, a contrast to the common practice of subcontracting. They utilize advanced 3D scanning technology, capturing millions of data points per second to create highly accurate digital models.

This data is used to produce detailed 2D plans, elevations, sections, and Building Information Models (BIM) in Autodesk Revit, suitable for various applications including design, long-term maintenance, and digital preservation of heritage assets.
