Youthbuild UK is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged young people and fostering collaboration within the construction industry. For over two decades, the organisation has worked to promote excellence and share best practices, while also recognising and celebrating the achievements of young individuals through its prestigious annual awards ceremony. This recognition aims to inspire a new generation, instil hope, and build a stronger foundation for their futures.

Through its Building Pathways events, Youthbuild UK brings together experts from the construction, charity, and training sectors to share experiences and identify best practices. The organisation's core mission is to empower disadvantaged young people, aged 14-24, who are at risk of or already experiencing social exclusion, including young offenders. They aim to alleviate poverty, relieve unemployment, and advance the life chances of young people by providing advice, support, and education in construction skills.

Youthbuild UK operates as a charity, a company limited by guarantee, and is governed by a Board of Trustees. They actively engage with employers and organisations in the construction industry to encourage the offering of training and work opportunities to young people. The annual Young Builder of the Year Awards are a key part of their celebration of achievement, focusing on the progress and resilience of nominees regardless of qualifications gained.

The organisation is supported by an Honorary President, Sir John Hayes, MP, and a network of sponsors and patrons from across the industry.
