About from company website

Witton Lodge Community Association (WLCA) was established in 1994 by local residents to address plans for the demolition of the Perry Common estate. Since then, WLCA has been instrumental in guiding the community through the estate's regeneration, ensuring local voices influenced decisions. The organisation has developed and now manages over 200 rental properties and has redeveloped the Perry Common Community Hall.

WLCA also established Witton Lodge Community Homes (WLCH) in 2015, a Registered Housing Provider dedicated to offering affordable, high-quality homes. WLCA operates across several key areas: Homes and Neighbourhoods, Health and Wellbeing, and Employment and Skills. They manage a significant housing stock, including an extra-care sheltered housing scheme.

Their Health and Wellbeing services offer a range of support activities for mental and physical wellbeing, delivered through group sessions or one-to-one support. The Employment and Skills division assists individuals in finding jobs, developing skills, and even starting businesses. The organisation runs multiple community hubs: Perry Common Community Hall, the Erdington Wellbeing Hub, and the Witton Lakes Eco Hub.

The Eco Hub, in particular, focuses on environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and tackling fuel poverty, featuring solar panels and air-source heat pumps. WLCA is committed to fostering strong community networks, improving employment opportunities, and enhancing overall wellbeing, building on decades of partnership and innovation.
