Specialising in road traffic sign installation, Walker Sign Erectors was established in 1995 and became a Ltd company in 1999. The company has grown significantly and has been involved in some of the UK's largest motorway signage contracts. Based in Winsford, Cheshire, their central location provides excellent links to major roads and the motorway network.

From an initial team of four site operatives, the company now directly employs twenty-five staff, including nineteen site operatives and a management team of six. They pride themselves on being a reliable and flexible company, which is reflected in their involvement in several flagship projects. These include the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways Scheme phases 2 and 3, the M4/M5 Managed Motorway Scheme, M6 J10a-13 Managed Motorway All Lane Running, M1 Smart Motorways projects, and Manchester Smart Motorways.

While their primary role has been in fixed traffic sign installation, Walker Sign Erectors are diversifying into various roles associated with street furniture, including minor lighting works. They have the capability to deliver installation, removal, and repair of verge, gantry, and variable message signs, as well as passive post systems and marker posts. They also undertake duct/trench installation and surveying.

Although they do not have an in-house manufacturing facility, they maintain a well-developed network of trusted suppliers, including major UK manufacturers.
