Summit Stonemasons Ltd was founded by Gordon Utting and Tom Francis, who bring over 50 years of combined experience in stonemasonry. They specialise in bespoke, traditional craftsmanship for a wide range of projects, including custom pieces for private homes, new-builds, and the restoration and repair of larger-scale buildings and statues. Their expertise covers architectural, decorative, and sculptural carving, as well as lettering.
The company works closely with clients, architects, and building contractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. Tom Francis, a recipient of the Duke of Gloucester Award and the Journeyman award, has a background in historic building conservation and has worked on notable projects such as Windsor Castle library and Castell Coch. Gordon Utting, with over 30 years of experience, has worked on significant restorations in North America and the UK, including Salisbury Cathedral and Westminster Magistrates Court.
Both founders are passionate about restoration, conservation, and the creative process of working on bespoke stone pieces from inception to completion.
