About from company website

Suffolk Millwright was established in 2011 by Tim Whiting, a traditional millwright with extensive experience in the craft. The company specialises in the restoration, repair, and maintenance of traditional windmills and watermills throughout the UK. Tim Whiting began his career in woodworking in 1998 and later spent five years learning the trade from Vincent Pargeter, one of the last traditional millwrights in the UK.

The team at Suffolk Millwright offers a comprehensive range of services, including principal contracting, specialist consultancy, organisation of contract lifts and crane hire, access platform solutions, industrial rope access, and regular maintenance programmes for both working and static mills. They pride themselves on their specialist knowledge and commitment to preserving these historic structures. Suffolk Millwright has had the privilege of working on numerous significant mills for clients such as the National Trust, English Heritage, and various local authorities.

Notable projects include the complete restoration of Horsey Windpump, Billingford Windmill, Saxtead Green Post mill, Chillenden Post mill, and Killicks Mill. They are involved with over 40 UK mills, providing everything from consultancy advice to regular maintenance.
