Saltash

SHC have been awarded Treledan, Saltash for Bloor Homes. This is our first time working with Bloor and this development is for an initial 96 plots plus the infrastructure for a further 296 for future development. SHC will be responsible for plot works up to dpc, 8000m of foul and storm drainage and 25000m² of roads. There are also three attenuation ponds plus extensive public open space areas to complete.

The site is made up of 117 plots which are a mixture of engineered strip foundations and pile foundations. SHC have also been involved with constructing a new bat roost by the site entrance as part of the ecological requirements. We are now working on the South Phase which is made up of 74 plots with 2no block of flats. We are currently constructing an Andracrib wall along with 3 attenuation tanks and roads.

Nansledan, Newquay - Phase 8a

We are constructing the roads and associated drainage within Sector 8A, this comprises of 61 plots. We are proud to have played our part in the site winning NHBC Pride in the Job Award 2024.

Blackberry Lane

SHC have been awarded a new development Blackberry Lane which consists of 34 plots including bungalows, terraced, semi-detached and detached units. A flagship site with an exciting new partnership with bunnyhomes. There is approximately 2300m² of road to construct and 2 attenuation tanks. SHC will be responsible for completing the S278 works which will include new foot path, road signage and tying in the new site entrance to the existing road.

Elm Park

outskirts of Exeter

Elm Park is a large development on the outskirts of Exeter which includes circa. 9,000m² of road and 3,700m of drainage. SHC mobilised on site back in early 2021, the initial works included an element of surcharging, this was to overcome varying ground conditions in order to construct plot foundations and infrastructure. The site comprises of 245 units which include four blocks of flat, detached, semi-detached and terraced plots. SHC will also be responsible for constructing 3 attenuation basins, a SANGS carpark which will be adopted by Teignmouth Council, a sensory garden & allotments.

Bramble Lane

SHC have recently been awarded Bramble Lane which is a continuation of our current project Blackberry Lane. The site comprises of 25 units including detached and semi-detached plots. SHC will be responsible for the construction of a pumping station, 1930m² of road and 734m of foul & storm drainage. SHC will be responsible for the new S278 works being carried out to the B3254, the works will include the installation of an additional central island, site entrance and road signage.

Bellevue Bude - Phase 1

Bude

SHC are continuing construction on phase 1 at Bellevue Bude, this has included installation 6,500m² of road, around 3,250m of drainage and installing 3 attenuation basins. An attenuation basin works by preventing flooding by controlling the amount of stormwater that is released into the environment at any given time. When a storm event occurs, the attenuation basin simply fills up and stores large volumes of rainwater temporarily. The site comprises of 144 units including detached, semi-detached and terraced plots which are all traditional strip foundations.

Primrose Fields

Appledore, North Devon Coast

SHC have recently been awarded Primrose Fields which is located on the rugged North Devon Coast of Appledore. The site comprises of 27 units with varying different house types. SHC will be responsible for 1021m² of road construction, 621m of foul & storm drainage. SHC will also be translocating an existing hedge while undertaking S278 to the entrance of site.

Equinox Phase 2

Following on from the first phase located just over the road, Phase 2 consists of 81 Plots and associated infrastructure. Equinox Phase 2 is part of the wider development in this area where a new community is being formed which will eventually see a fully equipped sports field, allotments, Park and Ride services to Exeter, plus new local shops and businesses, along with a planned primary school. This phase has included the installation of 2,600m² of road and a SDS attenuation tank. SHC are now constructing the last 15 plots on this phase

Church Lane, Cheriton Bishop

SHC have just been awarded Church Lane, Cheriton Bishop which will start construction in September 2024. Cheriton Bishop compromises of 23 plots ranging between Bungalows, detached and semi-detached plots. SHC will be taking responsibility for constructing 1 attenuation basin, over 1000m² of road and over 900 m² of foul and storm drainage. SHC will also be completing S278 works which will include widening the existing carriageway allowing better access to the new development.

Barratt David Wilson

Treledan is currently one of our biggest single-phase projects. SHC have now completed 83 of the 387 plots of which comprise of Detached, Semi Detached, Terraced and Flats, the Pods comprise of approx. 15,000m² of roads and 7,500m² of footways. The first section of spine road is approx. 4500m² with footways of approx. 3,000m². There are 2 attenuation ponds to construct with a combined capacity of approx. 12,000m³ and a pumping station to the South of the site.
