Stamford Gymnastics Club, established in 2012 by Mat Cooper, has grown from a small operation with two coaches and 16 gymnasts to a thriving club with over 190 gymnasts across three days a week. The club is dedicated to teaching gymnastics at a high standard while ensuring a fun and progressive experience for all participants, regardless of ability. All coaches are fully DBS checked and British Gymnastics qualified.
After operating from hired halls, the club has now moved to its own purpose-built facility in Essendine, Stamford. This move represents a significant milestone, fulfilling a decade-long ambition to provide a dedicated space for gymnastics. The club is actively seeking new members of all ages and abilities.
The club boasts a highly qualified and experienced coaching team, including a Woman Artistic Gymnastics Level 4 coach with over 20 years of experience leading the recreational programme. The club also honours the legacy of Mr Harrison, a founding coach and volunteer, through an annual trophy at their club competition.
