Stabilisure was founded with the goal of developing a quick and cost-effective method for stabilising embankments, reinforcing retaining structures, and improving foundation bearing capacity. The company founders possess decades of experience in the Civil Engineering industry, including expertise in both the design and installation of their proprietary micro soil nail system. This system can be integrated with various facing materials such as precast concrete blocks, steel mesh, geogrids, erosion protection, gabion baskets, and geosynthetic cementitious composite mats to create bespoke solutions.

Stabilisure combines extensive design consultancy with on-site installation experience. Their soil nail system is designed to reinforce existing or proposed retaining systems, slopes, and foundations, offering a solution that can be installed rapidly even in confined working areas. The company aims to minimise costs associated with importing engineered fill, disposing of excavated soil, and additional labour by reinforcing the original soil.

Key personnel include Ross Patterson, Managing Director, with five years of experience in retaining system design and seven years as Managing Director of site investigation company Stratex NI. , and Maccaferri. Gordon also directs the geotechnical consultancy Geoman Ltd.
