Splinters Carpentry and Joinery was founded by Mick Derbyshire, who after serving ten years in the Royal Corp of Engineers, pursued his dream of establishing his own carpentry business. Relocating to Newquay, Cornwall, Mick established Splinters, initially as a sole trader before forming a limited company. The company specialises in a wide range of carpentry and joinery services, from bespoke furniture and kitchen fitting to door hanging and fence installation.

They pride themselves on a personal approach to professionalism, ensuring each project is tailored to the client's specific needs and desires. Their gallery showcases a diverse portfolio, including custom-made doors, building works like dormer extensions, intricate fireplaces, unique furniture pieces, garden structures, gates, fencing, and complete kitchen refits. They also undertake staircase construction, vehicle refits, bespoke wardrobes, and the installation of custom windows.
