Refurbishment and upgrade of various elements of the former Debenhams store, including new insulation and coverings to 1200m2 of roof, demolition of 4th and 5th floor rooftop buildings to allow for a new 200m2 sun terrace and plant space. Works included supply and installation of new Corten clad steel fire escape staircases, significant structural improvements to roof and building structures, asbestos removal, specialist restoration works to original Crittal glazed screens, timber windows and front facades, construction of a new internal lift shaft & installation of new passenger lift, installation of 4m high acoustic screens on new roof-mounted steel framework, and mechanical & electrical installation of a new 6 tonne roof-mounted air handling unit, sprinkler system, and fibre optic data system.

Refurbishment of the existing Engine House building externally & internally to improve male & female WC's to the latest National Trust high standards. Entrance improvements, new drainage and paving. Kitchen Court existing office areas and store room conversion into additional family toilets, and assessable WC block, with hoist facilities and quiet room. New modern cubicles and quality finishes through all areas.
