Combi Boiler System: The most popular option today is the combi boiler. They produce both your heating and hot water from one unit eliminating the need for a separate water tank. These boilers are ideally suited to properties with one main bathroom. Regular Boiler System: The regular boiler or heat only boiler is the more traditional setup you may encounter, typically consisting of a wall hung boiler or a back boiler and a hot water cylinder normally situated in an airing cupboard. You will also have some tanks in your loft feeding both the hot water and heating elements. System Boiler System: The system boiler is much the same as the heat only boiler in set up except that the heating circuit is pressuriesd so eliminating the need for a header tank in the loft. They also typically house some of the external controls and pump within the boiler unit.
