Salix Homes

Salix Homes is an award-winning housing association that owns and manages over 8,000 homes in Salford, including tower blocks, large housing estates, and sheltered housing complexes. Established in 2015 following a stock transfer from Salford City Council, the organisation is a not-for-profit charitable entity, reinvesting profits back into its homes and communities. Employing over 300 people, Salix Homes offers a wide range of roles, from frontline repairs and caretakers to customer service and administrative teams.

Beyond providing quality affordable homes, the company focuses on transforming lives and supporting its customers and communities through partnerships that offer jobs, training, and wellbeing support, alongside funding local projects. Through its affordable home ownership brand, Willo Homes, and the Hive Homes partnership, Salix Homes is expanding its provision of affordable housing options across Salford and Greater Manchester. The organisation is committed to delivering safe, sustainable, and high-quality homes and services, guided by its Corporate Plan, 'The Salix Way 2026-2029', which outlines ambitions for customers, colleagues, homes, communities, and the business.
