15th Century Cottage Wall Reconstruction

Colchester

Following the collapse of the side of this 15th century cottage, Riverleaf carefully reconstructed the wall under the guidance and supervision of the Conservation Officer, using approved materials and salvaging original materials wherever possible. As much of the existing oak frame as possible was retained. Using new oak, Baz employed traditional techniques to splice repairs into the original frame, with lime mortar used to create a finish appropriate to the period.

Outbuilding to Annexe Conversion

This former outbuilding was transformed into a fully self-contained annexe, with full-height glazing, a new floor structure, galleried landing, bedroom with en-suite and fitted kitchen. Baz and the team coordinated the different elements of the build to turn an underused space into a practical, characterful home.
