Premier Carpet Edging Ltd, formerly P. Gomez Carpet Edging Service, has been a family-run business based in Ashford, Kent, since 2001. We specialise in providing a premier carpet overlocking service, also known as 'whipping' or 'serging', which involves machine-stitching a high-quality woollen or synthetic edge to carpets to create a durable and attractive finish that prevents fraying.

Our extensive range of coloured yarns allows for precise colour matching or contrasting effects to meet customer requirements. In addition to overlocking, we offer tape binding, a method where cloth tape is folded around the carpet edge and sewn on to create a wider, attractive border (12-100mm). We also provide EasyBind, a modern and efficient binding solution.

We supply custom-made rugs and runners suitable for various spaces including living rooms, hallways, churches, caravans, and motorhomes. Our services extend to supplying accessories and aftercare products to enhance and prolong the life of your rugs and runners. We pride ourselves on fast and efficient service, with Peter and his team working together since the company's inception.

We now supply carpet edging and stock pieces to over 50 shops in and around Kent. Our commitment to exceptional dedication to detail ensures each piece we bind is aesthetically pleasing, with yarn colours closely matched to the existing carpet or chosen by the customer. We also offer a quote request service, aiming to respond within 24 hours, with clear communication regarding any potential additional charges for larger or more complex pieces.
