About from company website

Welcome to Phoenix Engineering, a family-run multi-disciplined engineering business established in 1993. With over 30 years of expertise, we specialize in the maintenance and refurbishment of leachate treatment plants and related facilities. Our journey has been marked by dedication, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Founded by Terry Trewern, Phoenix Engineering has evolved significantly over the past three decades.

Our continuing development has led us to broaden our design skills over the years to offer complete leachate treatment plant design, construction, commissioning, and operational training, maintenance, and servicing throughout the UK to even the most stringent global water quality standards. We are still known for being the best at aerobic sequencing batch reaction technology, a method developed in the 1980s from extensive, publicly funded research. We are also adept at using advanced treatment technologies like denitrification and ultrafiltration, activated-carbon filtration, and dissolved air flotation (DAF). Unlike our competitors, we don't buy in our control panels; we build them in our factory in Cornwall, allowing us to tailor them very precisely to the special requirements of leachate management and treatment.

The same goes for our access platforms and walkways, making them unbeatable for their utility and longevity in corrosive leachate environments. Our in-house coding skills have allowed us to build and maintain our own SCADA system, DLOG, which we have honed over the years to provide all the most up-to-date, user-friendly remote plant operational facilities. At the heart of Phoenix Engineering is our team, led by the Trewern family. Terry, Kevin, and Ross Trewern bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, steering our company towards continual growth and success.

Our team also includes key members like Howard Robinson and Helen Gribble, each playing a pivotal role in our operations and success. We offer specialized services in the design and build, refurbishment, and maintenance, of leachate treatment plants. Under the guidance of Terry Trewern, we have led many complex projects, integrating innovative technologies and methodologies to deliver exceptional results.
