Major Car Manufacturer & EV Charger Installers

To support the expansion of a major car manufacturer's EV charging network across the UK, Pascon was appointed as ICP to install chargers at multiple 6-to-18 bay service stations, with additional units planned for hotels and dealerships. Four specialised teams were deployed to manage installation across 13x1MVA sites, including connections to battery storage units. The project was delivered on time and on budget, enabling each site to charge up to 12 vehicles from flat to full in just 20 minutes, while also establishing a strong ongoing working relationship with all project partners.

Primary Substation, Summer Lane, Birmingham

When the existing primary substation beneath an office block in Birmingham needed to be relocated following the sale of the building, a new facility was constructed 250 metres away on Summer Lane. Pascon was appointed to support this major transition, delivering trenching works and installing 300mm Triplex cables between the old and new sites.

Brindley 12MW Battery Energy Storage System

The Brindley 12MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) required the design, installation and commissioning of a full Balance of Plant solution, metered at 33kV and connected to a primary substation over 1km away. Pascon delivered a containerised substation solution, including dual substations, switchgear and 110V battery chargers, alongside the excavation and installation of 1,250 metres of cable.

Culham Hydro for Evans Energy Ltd

Culham

Pascon successfully designed, built and commissioned the connection for a 500kV Archimedean hydro generation site for Evans Energy Ltd at Culham. The project involved laying a 120-metre cable route, constructing a bespoke 11kV metered substation and connecting the site to the existing network. Pascon carried out all excavations, reinstatement and HV cable installation within schedule.
