About from company website

Palmer Access is a family-run company founded in 2016, providing operated access platform hire across Scotland and the north of England. We supply truck-mounted platforms and tracked boom spiders with experienced operators, available for every type of project. We support businesses in construction, telecoms, renewables, glazing, surveying and more, all requiring safe, dependable working at height.

Our fleet is maintained to LOLER standards and operated by IPAF and CPCS certified professionals. Safety is at the core of everything we do, combined with reliability, flexibility, and clear communication. Every hire begins with a thorough assessment of the site to ensure safe setup and operation.

Our operators prepare risk assessments and method statements where required, following structured checklists before work begins. We plan access routes, operating positions, and on-site logistics carefully to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Glasgow

Removal of a medium ash tree that had become too brittle to climb safely, requiring an aerial platform to access branches with BT fibre cables running through them. A 33m Ruthmann truck with operator was supplied, setting up an exclusion zone with signs, tape and barriers. The job was completed in three hours.
