The cables are 3 x 500mm² or 3 x 600mm² depending on the location of the substation. The cables were laid at 1200mm deep and are surrounded in sand using our McCusker Sand cart ST1200. Cable warning tapes or tiles can be laid on the top of the sand, with 2 marker tapes laid at 400mm below ground level. An earthing cable is also being laid with the cables, the drum is on the front of the spider.
