Redevelopment of over 30,000ft² of existing co-working office space to provide new Category A office accommodation. The project included structural remodelling of the central cores, the formation of a new courtyard and terrace areas, and the contemporary fit-out of the reception and common WC areas.
Redevelopment of an existing warehouse and associated office facilities. The project included the formation of a new 'garment spa' area and the erection of a double storey internal office block within the warehouse facility.
Development of a restored Victorian building to provide D&AD with 8,000ft² of new offices, meeting rooms and event space. Finances were scrutinised at every stage and costs were monitored closely to ensure budget was maintained.
New building complex providing new performing arts, sports and science facilities. The performing arts studio was designed to meet the school's "Centre of Excellence" status and the needs of local community groups. The sports hall was fully fitted for four badminton courts to club standard. The science laboratories incorporated state-of-the-art equipment and teaching facilities.
New sports and IT teaching facilities providing a multi-use sports hall and changing facilities together with a fitness studio and a suite of IT classrooms. Sustainable design principles and low-energy consumption are integral to the design, with natural light and ventilation where possible, a ground linked cooling system and rainwater harvesting all featuring prominently in the scheme. Using innovative cross-laminated timber panel technology, the project was delivered ahead of time and under budget.
Construction of a new three storey Sikh temple. The new ornate façade and domes were constructed from authentic handcarved Indian sandstone and installed on site by Rajasthani stonemasons. Internally the temple had a bespoke metal and glass staircase giving it a more contemporary feel.
Numerous projects for the Watches of Switzerland Group acting as Quantity Surveyor and Contract Administrator on flagship stores in London and retail units nationally for the Watches of Switzerland, Mappin & Webb, Bulgari and Rolex brands.
Extensive remodelling of their existing flagship store. The project involved two separate phases comprising the initial complex structural alteration works including the construction of a new Portland stone façade and the subsequent fit-out of the reconfigured shell, with both phases overlapping on site. MPA were also appointed for the procurement of the internal millwork package.
Development of their store featuring a raw, concrete design executed with precise measurement and fine tolerances. MPA were employed as Quantity Surveyor on the main store remodelling which coordinated the main build by a UK contractor, the internal concrete merchandise system from Eastern Europe and the millwork production from France.
Development of a large scale retail and spa facility. The existing building, which formerly provided a restaurant and office accommodation, was remodelled and fitted out to provide three floors of retail space, a spa, dedicated staff areas and space for future occupation. MPA were appointed as Quantity Surveyor to help deliver the new space against a pre-determined opening date, timed to coordinate with the closing of the existing store further along the street and to be ready for the Christmas rush!
Development of a new Cartier boutique. The project comprised the refurbishment of a multistorey shell building, including the insertion of a new staircase to link the retail areas, and integrated the watchmaking, VIP spaces and management offices. Acting as Quantity Surveyor, the project was substantially negotiated with local contractors due to the fast-track design evolution process.
