Prior to establishing Monaghan Martin, he spent 23 years at one of London and the South-East's largest developers and contractors, Durkan. Phil started as a trainee surveyor, attaining an honours degree in Quantity Surveying, building his career to eventually attain the position of Chief Surveyor, which he held for six years. Joseph has an instrumental role in project delivery, working closely with on-site management and overseeing the procurement of subcontractor packages. Charlie brings a wealth of experience in the design-led property business to Monaghan Martin.

Original features were restored to retain the Victorian character while updating the house to suit a modern family's lifestyle. The scope included: Reconfiguration of internal layout, Timber floor refurbishment throughout, Bespoke joinery, Mechanical and electrical installation.
Notting Hill
Set on a leafy street in Notting Hill, this prominent townhouse has been completely transformed to meet the needs of a young, growing family. We reconfigured and refurbished the entire property, adding a two-storey closet wing to accommodate a study and powder room. At the rear, we extended the lower ground floor to create expansive, light-filled spaces that suit modern living. To enhance the sense of openness, we excavated the lower ground by around 0.6 metres, a major structural and underpinning effort that significantly increased the ceiling height. The scope included: Reduced level dig with associated and underpinning, Reconfiguration across all four floors, New mechanical and electrical system, Installation of air conditioning, Delivery of a bespoke interiors package by Godrich, Sash window replacement and shutter restoration.
