About from company website

MI Workshops specialises in bringing creative visions to life through expert scenery construction, scenic art, bespoke prop fabrication, and immersive installations. Based in Stratford upon Avon, our team of skilled scenic artists and craftsmen deliver high-quality builds for a diverse range of productions across the UK, including theatre, TV, film, opera, ballet, adventure golf courses, interactive build environments, festivals, exhibitions, and events. We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, including CNC machining and 3D printing, to deliver exceptional sets for productions of all sizes.

Our 5,000 sq ft workshop, along with over 3,000 sq ft of pre-build space, allows us to construct, assemble, and quality-check full stage sets before installation. Led by Workshop Director Matt Jacques, we provide detailed 2D and 3D drawings, construction plans, and visualisations to streamline decision-making and ensure accuracy. Our services extend to transforming old vehicles into theatre-safe scenic pieces, meticulously restoring them with scenic finishes that shine under stage lights.

We work closely with set designers, project managers, and creative teams to transform briefs into outstanding stage environments, offering a seamless, reliable service from initial concept to final fit-up.
