University of Economics and Business

University of Economics and Business

Vienna, Austria

Complex geometry, five separate cores, inclined walls, and rounded corners with different radii presented a challenge for formwork engineers, resulting in a masterpiece of modern architecture. Special formwork, including steel formwork for rounded corners and Mammut 350 wall formwork for inclined cylindrical corner areas, was used. Detailed planning ensured a consistent board pattern on the side walls, and alkus all-plastic facing provided a smooth architectural concrete surface.

A cuboid-shaped extension designed to be a light-filled concrete sculpture with a high-quality finish. The project required sharp edges on all corners and a uniform joint pattern on walls and floor slabs. Mammut 350 wall formwork was used for the walls, and MevaFlex slab formwork for the beams. New shuttering panels and alkus all-plastic facing ensured flawless results and superior quality finishes.
