Passivhaus House. We hired Mars Building to deliver our new build (masonry cavity wall) Passivhaus, and were thoroughly impressed with the service throughout. Most important to me was their attitude, and we got 'buy-in' from day one. Key qualities included great communication, attention to detail and a solution mindset as challenges arose. Newbuild House. We engaged Mars Building and its team to build our new house in 2015. This was the best decision we made in the entire project, and they have completely restored our faith in builders. EVERYTHING went to plan. From beginning to end, the build took less than seven months and was completed on budget. The only increases were where we increased the agreed scope of work. Mark and his team were a pleasure to deal with: polite, efficient, responsive and were full of helpful (but never pushy) ideas and suggestions. They never 'knocked off' early on a Friday, and worked virtually every Saturday and Bank Holiday. Before being appointed, they were open about the fact that they worked on a small number of other projects at the same time, but the reality was that in seven months, there were only about two working days when no one was on site. The quality of building work, finishing (both internal and external), attention to detail, site security and general tidiness were superb. Fifteen months after moving in, we still have a 'show home', and we would be happy to show it to anyone thinking about engaging Mars for similar building work.
