Markstone is led by founder Mark Turpie, working across Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. After years in traditional masonry and heritage conservation, he set out to keep the craft alive, repairing and building in stone the way it was meant to be done, with the right materials, real skill, and honest advice. Work that protects the building, and the craft behind it.
Markstone was founded by Mark Turpie after years in traditional masonry and conservation, including as the right-hand man at an established local firm. He set out on his own to keep doing the work the way it should be done, the right materials, a clear scope, and work he's happy to stand behind. The team is deliberately small and hands-on, because how the work is done matters as much as the result.
