The building boasts a high level of insulation performance with 100mm thick insulated composite cladding to both roof and walls. Conversion of two derelict agricultural buildings into a new residential property complete with purpose designed steel trusses, Kingspan insulated roof cladding and purpose bent aluminium powder coated fascias, soffits, verges and valley flashings. 137mm thick insulated composite panels were used for the roof to give an enhanced U-Value with air source heat pumps used to aid the overall accomplishment. Sustainable materials, in many cases locally sourced, have been used throughout. Finalist in the 2019 RIDBA Building Awards.
36m long x 13m span steel portal frame building to form and 18 box American barn with vet and tack rooms complete with purpose designed penthouse ventilator units. 80mm thick insulated composite roof panels to support a tiled roof complete with vented penthouse turrets have not only helped with the environmental qualities but have also enhanced the aesthetics. The site, situated adjacent to Newmarket Racecourse, together with the very high expectations of the client in respect of noise and site housekeeping, demanded the highest level of effective contract planning and management as befits a working stable yard. Overall winner of the Equestrian category in the 2017 RIDBA Building Awards.
Purpose designed covered racehorse training facility. Roof and walls clad in TATA single skin box profile plastisol coated steel cladding complete with purpose bent plastisol coated steel flashings. The steel frame, exposed to the elements is galvanised to minimise the need for maintenance and prolong the lifespan of the building. The unique and unusual shape of the structure required a high level of initial design input and a high degree of skill on site to ensure that all cladding and steel junctions were completely watertight whilst also being aesthetically pleasing.
