A unique collection of houses where the local authority challenged the developer to invest in an architect that could deliver a high quality but contemporary design as opposed to the original outline consented design which had no identity. Members of the practice responded to the challenge, meeting the Planners' request with a development that features passive house standards of performance and energy reducing active systems - at the time of construction, air source heat pumps were seen as state of the art.
