Established in 1952 by Mr Kelston Sparkes, the Kelston Sparkes Group has grown into one of the largest and most recognised Earthmoving Contractors in the UK. Now in its 72nd year, it remains a family-run business committed to its core values of safety, quality, and value. With over 70 years of experience, the company possesses the capacity and skills to deliver schemes of any size and complexity, employing over 150 staff to ensure meticulous control over quality and safety.

The group specialises in Earthworks, Earthmoving, Crushing and Screening, Quarrying, and Training. They operate an extensive fleet of over 200 items of plant, including articulated dump trucks, excavators, bulldozers, loading shovels, crushers, and screens. This significant resource allows them to undertake large-scale projects, moving millions of tonnes of material and providing services across the construction, quarrying, and development sectors.

They operate as both a Principal Contractor and Sub-Contractor, enhancing their earthmoving capacity with specialisms in earthworks structures, ground stabilisation, and soft earth retaining structures. Kelston Sparkes is at the cutting edge of earthmoving technology, utilising GPS and semi-automated GPS on the majority of their machines to deliver projects on accelerated programmes, cost-effectively, and with an increased emphasis on health and safety. They also offer a design and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) service, using the latest software and their extensive industry experience to ensure cost-effective, practical designs that mitigate risk.

Their personnel are CPCS trained and hold EPIC passports, necessary for large quarry operations.
