Dismantling of a wall of translucent blocks that created a curving, cavernous interior. Required significant crane and MEWP operations in a limited space, with complicated logistics for numbering, processing, packaging, and transport.

Heart of ARUP sculpture

ARUP Headquarters, Central London

A sculpture consisting of cables suspended from a steel A frame, connected to a cable winch at the atrium ceiling. Aluminium strips and polycarbonate opaque screens were attached to the cables, with projections displayed on the screens. The structure cascaded six levels from the atrium ceiling to basement level.

Crane operations to lift CHS sections, temporary works for spar support, and strut installation. High tensile fabric membrane fitted to steelwork, tensioned using hydraulic jacks to push up the upper stub mast section.

Malvern MP 700 Hypar Canopy

Abbey Wood Retail Park Bristol

A large structure (12 meters across axis) incorporating mast tie backs. Tie rods installed at ground level, assembly lifted onto cast-in anchors. Fabric membrane dressed and hauled to mast heads using cable winches, tensioned via membrane tension rods.

Installation of a 8m x 8m hyperbolic shade sail supported by CHS radius masts. Installation faced challenges with restricted access for plant, using a JCB Buggiscopic 6-meter boom and mobile tower scaffold.
