With a history dating back to shortly after the second world war under the name JGW Ellis and Sons, the company was changed to John Ellis Builders in 1988. They have been involved in a wide variety of projects, amounting to vast knowledge of the building industry. Projects have included new builds, barn conversions, extensions, alterations, basements, loft conversions, and industrial buildings.

They normally work as the principal contractor and can provide all trades needed, such as electrics, plumbing, heating, joinery, plastering/damp proofing, and decoration. John Ellis Builders prides itself on the personal level of involvement and communication required to make projects run smoothly, ensuring client requirements are fulfilled.
