Jesus College Developments Ltd

Jesus College, Cambridge, established between 1496 and 1516, has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the larger colleges in the University of Cambridge. Originally founded on the site of a twelfth-century nunnery, it has evolved into a vibrant community of over 1,000 members, including undergraduates, postgraduates, Fellows, and staff. The College site encompasses 24 acres of sports fields and gardens in the centre of Cambridge.

Undergraduate teaching is a shared responsibility between the University and the College, with colleges providing individual teaching and guidance through 'supervisions'. Jesus College also hosts a large postgraduate community, offering a strong support network and a busy social life. Jesus College is committed to sustainability, with a strategy focused on transitioning to a zero-carbon future.

It actively engages in critical self-reflection, including its work on the legacies of slavery and colonial violence, leading to initiatives such as the return of a Benin Bronze and the contextualisation of historical figures. The College is a registered charity and a self-governing body, dedicated to providing a caring, collegiate home that stimulates intellectual curiosity and achievement.
