InventaCinema

InventaCinema is pioneering a new concept in neighbourhood cinemas, built with offsite, energy-efficient, and low-carbon technologies. This state-of-the-art solution is designed for communities in rural, small towns, and city peripheries that lack access to quality cinema experiences. The modular design allows for flexible configurations, from one to five screens, and can be integrated with existing leisure and hospitality venues, catering to the evolving needs of cinema operators for mixed-use spaces.

The carbon net-zero cinema is achieved through the use of the Agile Build System for the structural envelope, advanced renewable energy strategies, and the selection of decarbonised products for the interior fit-out. A proof-of-concept Feasibility Study and Demonstration Pod, supported by a UK Community Renewal Fund grant, was successfully completed in 2022. Key benefits include fully developed products, known development costs, short construction timelines, efficient low-carbon design, and low operating costs, with potential for selling Carbon Offset Credits.
