A freestanding seven metre Georgian glass dome built as a dining room for a period mansion, with 28 press-bent spars, curved double glazing and a leaded cupola.

A Georgian lean-to conservatory with a hipped gable and Gothic curved glazing bars, built as a dining extension to a Grade II listed presbytery in Hertfordshire.

A bespoke sapele hardwood garden room replacing a listed greenhouse at a Grade II listed stone castle in the Yorkshire Dales, on hand-dressed local stone dwarf walls.

This large family house in Ilkley began life as a farmhouse, gaining an Edwardian extension and, twenty years ago, a period-style wooden conservatory. The owners wanted to change how the whole house flows, so the old conservatory came down and in its place we designed a double-volume glass building linking the main house to a new pool house, with views over open countryside on one side and an internal garden courtyard on the other. The structure is entirely bespoke: all aluminium, made to order in Germany, with performance up to Passivhaus standards and a reverse-pitch roof drawn to match the sightlines of the existing buildings. Bi-fold doors open the room fully into the garden, with the same stone flooring running from inside straight out onto the terrace. The project was a finalist at the 2017 International Design & Architecture Awards, in the Architectural Glasshouse over £150,000 category.
