Bathroom Restoration due to concealed leak
Tower Bridge, London (EC3N)
The client noticed staining on hallway walls adjacent to the bathroom, suspected to be from failed bath silicone seals. Investigation revealed a faulty hot water drain cock leaking for an extended period, causing significant deterioration to the timber floor structure. The solution involved a full strip-out of affected flooring, removal of damaged timber, treatment of the metal framework, installation of new damp-proof protection, plywood flooring, waterproofing membrane, tile backer boards, re-tiling, and reinstallation of fittings. The bathroom was restored to a safe and durable standard.
