Garry Laing established G. Laing Stonecraft in June 1998, bringing 18 years of prior experience in quarrying, cutting, milling, and polishing sandstone. His expertise extends to the manufacture of both modern and traditional fireplaces, and the restoration of old or historic buildings and monuments.
Garry gained vital experience working at Moray Stone Cutters and Watsons Stonecraft in Edinburgh, and from other masonry colleagues. The company undertakes various aspects of stonemasonry, including building and fixing, general restoration of buildings and monuments, cleaning of buildings, manufacture and building of fireplaces, and creating natural paving stones. They are confident in undertaking any type of sandstone project.
G. Laing Stonecraft also focuses on passing on their knowledge to trainees, including CITB apprentices, experienced labourers, and first-class stonemasons.
