The Fuse Rail team has been intrinsically involved in Conductor Rail Heating since its inception, covering design, installation, issue resolution, snagging, and maintenance in both civils and electrical elements. They have installed over 90,000 meters of Eltherm heating strip, 1400 meters of Heat Trace Strip, and over 450 heating panels in the Kent area. They also campaigned to change over 1300 heating strip joints throughout Kent, Sussex, and Wessex.
Fuse Rail developed new CRH panel and strip training for Network Rail staff and are the sole competent contractors outside Network Rail for installation and maintenance of the system, maintaining the whole Conductor Rail Heating system in Kent and assisting the Sussex NR maintenance team. Fuse Rail has been a key contractor for Network Rail Works Delivery for SIN119 improvement notices throughout CP5, delivering 1387 volumes of new Class II installations, internal bonding modifications, earth rod improvement works, and physical barrier installations. This award-winning partnership was the best performing SIN119 delivery team in the country, providing safe, efficient, and innovative solutions under budget and on time.
Following this success, Fuse Rail was asked by Amey to help deliver their SIN119 work bank throughout 2019.
