Four Walls Consultants is an independent building performance company based in Bristol, operating across the South West and South Wales, and further afield for larger research projects. Founded in 2005 by Ian Mawditt, a multi-disciplined building services engineer with extensive experience, the company initially focused on concerns about energy-efficient buildings and their impact on the indoor environment. Over the years, Four Walls has evolved to assist governments in developing Building Regulations, particularly for Part F (ventilation) and Part L (energy efficiency).

The company specialises in Building Performance Evaluation (BPE), ensuring buildings meet their intended outcomes in use. This involves testing and monitoring how buildings actually perform, from construction through to operation.
