Forth & Tay Offshore (FTO) is one of eight UK offshore wind clusters, established to foster the growth of the offshore energy sector on Scotland's East Coast. The organisation aims to build upon the region's existing strengths by developing its supply chain and workforce, aligning with the commitments of the Offshore Wind Sector Deal. By 2030, the vision is for the region to host a thriving, comprehensive, and internationally competitive offshore energy supply chain that serves both local and global projects.
The mission of FTO is to accelerate and advance the offshore energy sector's growth through activities focused on innovation, collaboration, skills investment, and market awareness. It also works to attract inward investment from leading developers and suppliers, positioning Forth and Tay as the preferred location for supply chain investments. FTO is supported by a steering group comprising local authorities, developers, enterprise agencies, and port authorities, and collaborates with universities to deliver innovative solutions and develop necessary skills within the sector.
