Flowstop Services has been established for over 30 years, with 45 years of experience in the gas industry, positioning them as an experienced and reliable pipework contractor. The company operates across the UK, serving as a main supplier and operator for large Gas Networks and maintaining high service standards. In March 2018, Flowstop Engineering was established in Scunthorpe, enabling the company to manufacture its own gas fittings and produce goods for other UK companies.

Specialising in working on projects involving existing 'live' gas supplies, Flowstop Services employs temporary flow-stopping methods to avoid costly and disruptive shutdowns. They utilise two main techniques: isolation using stopples and bags, or isolation by means of 'bagging off' insertion and/or stopples. The choice of method depends on the gas pressure, pipe material, and pipe diameter.

Flowstop Services also perform a wide range of Under Pressure Drillings and Hot Tap Drillings, capable of drilling from 1" up to 48" on mains running at LP to IP. This process allows drilling into a live pipe system without depressurising the main, maintaining flow in a gas-free environment. Their drilling machines are maintained to high standards and operated by experienced, fully qualified engineers.
