The company was founded by Mat and Louis, who met while working on a restoration project at the Palace of Westminster. Their complementary skills and shared approach to craftsmanship led them to collaborate on increasingly complex projects, including relief carvings for a prestigious project in Knightsbridge and a carving package at the Houses of Parliament.

Their first project under the Established Stone name involved overseeing all aspects of masonry at St. Stephen's Hall, including surveying, detailing, hand carving, and restoring historic elements. The company is passionate about stone carving, conservation, and preserving the beauty and integrity of historic structures for future generations.

They operate from a well-resourced workshop in the South Downs and are adaptable to the unique needs of each project, working on-site or in their workshop. Established Stone offers a wide variety of stonemasonry services, including architectural stonemasonry, custom designs, and intricate carving.
