Erwood & Morris Ltd. is a family-based company with Scott Craddock and Simon Clarkson involved in the day-to-day running and management of both the company and ongoing projects. The vast experience of the directors and senior management is applied to the benefit of the project, and therefore the client, to achieve the completion of projects and contracts above the client's expectations.

We always strive to work in harmony as part of a team, with the client and architect or surveyor (if appropriate), as the other members of this team. We want to deliver the project for the client in the most cost-effective way possible, and we will make suggestions for alternatives where experience allows. Our team of directly employed operatives in various trades allows us to complete large portions of contracts 'in house' without the need to rely on sub-contractors, although we do of course use regular and trusted sub-contractors to complete certain elements of works where time, cost and technical requirements are the defining factors.

We have taken a conscious decision over the years to remain at a manageable size so that the directors and senior management know what is happening on each site on a daily basis. We prefer to have the ability to communicate with both the clients and our operatives directly, to affect the works taking place on site, rather than allowing these discussions to pass down the chain of command. In this respect, as a client, you know that there will always be someone with whom you can communicate, at a senior level.

We are used to working in different materials as varied as Bath stone and oak joinery to Glulam timber, steel frame and glass curtain walling; and all the combinations in between. As a company we have the experience to carry out the vast majority of normal building works from foundations right up to the roof finishes with normally very little need to outsource or subcontract large parts of the works, which allows us to keep closer control of projects. You will almost certainly have engaged an architect or similar professional to design your proposed extension or new property and, as a well established company we have worked previously with a lot of local architects and surveyors.
