Devlin Plummer Stained Glass offers a quality reliable service with a team of fully apprenticed craftsmen and stained glass artists.
They work on glass dating from the early 14th century to the present day, the repair of casements and ferramenta, supply and installation of window protection, and offer in situ or studio-based conservation. They approach projects as conservators rather than restorers, with an emphasis on minimal intervention. This might involve leaving the glass in situ and carrying out preventative measures such as re-waterproofing and re-mortaring to prolong the life of the window panels.
However, when a window's lead matrix becomes too brittle, it is removed and returned to the studio for repair.
